About Anusha — Anusha Tigali

I’m Anusha, a product designer who likes getting close to complicated things.

The last ten years have taken me from designing interfaces to understanding the systems underneath them: products, APIs, data and now AI infrastructure.

I like working somewhere between people, technology and the people building the technology.

And I have a habit of following questions much further than I originally intended.

Most of the interesting things I’ve worked on started that way.

I like getting to the bottom of things.

I find it hard to design something without understanding why it works the way it does.

That usually means getting close to the technology, talking to the people building it, talking to the people using it, and asking a lot of questions.

What is actually happening underneath?
Why does it work this way?
What is the user really trying to accomplish?

The deeper I understand the problem, the better I can tell what we actually need to solve and what we should build around it.

Making is one of the ways I think.

Sometimes that means prototyping a product idea. Other times, I build something because I think it could change how my team works.

I find that sometimes the fastest way to understand an idea, test it, or get other people excited about it is to make enough of it real.

Cellular and molecular biology has my curiosity.

I’ve been talking to scientists and learning how they study systems far more complicated than the ones I’ve designed for.

I’m curious how AI changes that work: what truly improves, how model outputs are validated, and how reliable ground truth is established.

I have far more questions than answers. I like being there.

When I’m not working, I’m usually trying something to untangle my mind.

I’m finishing my Starry Night Lego for the second time, crocheting a phone holder, and painting pomegranates.

I also take matcha very seriously, so I’m always trying new recipes and finding ways to bring in Indian flavours such as jamun or saffron.

If none of that works, I head out on my cycle and keep going until a thread of thought in my head begins to untangle.
